What if your intuition is silent?

Dear Readers,

In navigating life it is often natural and a good idea to stop and wonder if you are heading in the right direction? We all go through time periods where this is the case. This is a healthy way to grow in your individual life journey, whether you are single or in a committed relationship we all must take our own path. I am currently questioning if I am in on the right path at the moment and searching inward for the answers. The answers are within us is what all the best spiritual leaders tell us. Do not discuss your desires with others or share too much with too many people as they can influence your decisions and confuse us to what you really want. Now, when I mention what I really want I am not talking about what we want and what will make us happy but instead in a spiritual sense as to where you are meant to be in life. We are on a path in life and I believe we can seek different opportunities to help us grow while we are here. Seeking these opportunities does not mean that they will come easy. For example when I just turned 22 years of age I came across an advert in the newspaper to teach in Singapore. I ran out to the garden to tell Mum and next thing you know I emailed the company straight away to apply for the position. When I look back at my decision to teach in a foreign country, I am sometimes baffled as to why I decided to do this. Singapore as well? The decision to go to this country, in particular, was a bit random for me. I knew nothing about the country and had originally always seen myself leaving Australia to go to Ireland where my Father and Grandparents were from, but for some reason I had a strong urge and desire to go there. I taught in Singapore for a year and it was a great challenge. Dealing with a mean boss, being homesick and lonely, even though I was surrounded by a place of such beauty and rich in culture. I believe I was meant to go there. Not to be happy but to grow. Grow on my journey, that is life. I still don't have the answers as to why I had to go there, but my intuition told me it was something I had to do. So, what if you are trying to figure it out but your intuition or gut is empty? This is how mine feels at the moment. I feel I should change my current situation although I am not unhappy with it. I have spent sometime meditating on the idea and question, "What is the next step?" but there is no answer. Perhaps our intuition is smarter than the mind and it is not time for me to move forward or change paths just yet. I believe we are all more intuitive than what we realise and there is more at play than simply trying to be happy or chase a big dream. We are each here to grow and learn and in doing that we will face challenges, however, we must also be brave enough to take that next step and do something radical and by that I mean something totally different, that we never thought we would do. Now that is really living:)

Bye for now xo
